Typically, all glazed pottery pieces are fired and ready for pick up within 7 days. If needed, or simply desired, Distractions will ship your projects within the United States. Additional shipping fees apply.

Absolutely. We always love getting the opportunity to make your special occasion or custom event fun for your guests and easy for you as well. We are available for in-studio parties or off-site events at your location. In the studio, we have space for approximately 25-30 guests downstairs and 20 guests upstairs. The entire studio can be booked out for up to 50 guests. Fill out the Custom Event Form, and a Distractions team member will reach out to you regarding your special occasion.

Due to the space required for clay and the length of curing time (typically 1-2 weeks), we are unable to offer clay as an option. However, we have several different projects ready for you to paint for all your art entertainment needs. Starting each October, Distractions will do clay handprint impressions for the little ones. Absolutely! All of our ceramic paints are non-toxic and food safe as long as you use our glazes to paint them. After the firing process, your completed ceramic pieces are both food safe and dishwasher safe, although hand washing is recommended. The only exception is if you paint using our acrylic paints, then those items would not be considered food safe. Acrylic-painted items are only for show. Don't worry, we make sure you use the correct materials!
